Galileo's father forced him to enroll to study medicine at the University of Pisa but never finished, instead choosing to study mathematics.

He was put under house because the Pope became mad at him for suspicion of "vehement suspicion of heresy", but is instead convicted of holding and teaching the Copernican belief
