Galileo was awarded the chair of mathematics at the Univerity of Padua. He was the man who made the telescope famous. Galileo also observed through his telescope and discovered that it had craters, mountains, and valleys

He was born in February 15, 1564-January 8, 1642. The country of where he was born is Pisa in Dutch, Italy. He did most of his work in the University of Padua.

He is known for discovering Jupiters moons: Lo, Ganymede, Europa, and Calisto, now called the Galilean moons
