Galileo Galilei was born on February 15, 1564 in Pisa, Italy. He attending University of Pisa, first as a medical student, then as a math student.He is considered the Father of Modern Science for his contributions of the telescope, microscope, thermoscope. He also discovered that the moon was not flat and smooth, that jupiter had its own moons, and that the planets revolved around the Sun.Galileo had two daughters, Virginia and Livia, and a son, Vicenzo.

Accomplished Mathematician and Philosphor showing that all ideas should be tested and not just accepted as is.Discovered the theory of Center of Gravity which led the way for Sir Issac Newton to discover the laws of Gravity and Motion.Refined and created the most powerful telescope.Discovered the Solar System and that the sun is the center of the universe.
Lasting Impact
Galileo's discovery of the planets and the stars, along with the first high-powered telescope has created a lifetime of hobbies for many.
