Friedrich Nietzsche

Friedrich Nietzsche is a well known German philosopher, philologist, cultural critic, poet, and composer. While Nietzsche was still alive his work, which revolved mostly around questioning morality and defying social norms, was not well received. Upon his death his sister, Elisabeth Foerster-Nietzsche took it upon herself to use his theories as they were not intended. Some say the misinterpretations of those theories are what inspired the Nazi regime in Germany. However, soon after his death those accusations were later settled. His philosophies were unusual and disdain for Christianity and social bigotry apparent. His work continues to inspire free thinking and Apollinian-Dyonisian based theory.
