French immigrants brought food, and cooking utensils. They also brought important things such as the bible and work tools.The French immigrants also brought many more items on their trip over to America.

French immigrants arrived at Ellis Island in crowded ships, each with around 3,000 immigrants.

Immigrants wept with joy when they spied the Statue of Liberty, a sign that they had arrived in America

French immigrants left their homeland in 1840 through 1940 because they did not want to be required of military service. They also did not want to pay rising war taxes.

Doctors at Ellis Island used these symbols to identify various medical conditions of the immigrants.
