Frederick Douglass was born about mid-Febuary, 1818 in Talbot County, Maryland.

For 20 years, Douglass suffered from hunger, ragged clothing, beatings, and unfare or no pay.

Frederick Douglass died on Feb. 20, 1875

Frederick Douglass had overcome many obstacles in his life. The major thing he had to overcome was predjudice.

Frederick Douglass was very determined to help set black slaves free and stop most of the discrimination.

He grew up as a slave and didn't realy have a family.
