In 1970, Brian May (guitarist), Roger Taylor (drummer), John Deacon (bass) and Freddie Mercury (voice) founded the rock group Queen, in London, UK. The British band had a big break in the UK in mid 70’s, and in mid 80’s they had an important impact in the USA. They introduced a lot of music elements in the rock music, and they are considered as the founders of hard rock.

When he was a child, he was sent to India, where he received good education. He was interested in a lot of sports, such as boxing or ping-pong, and he won a lot of competitions. There, his fondness for music awoke, and he began to learn playing the piano.

Farrokh Bulsara, also known as Freddie Mercury, was a famous singer, of parsi and Indian descent. He is known for being part of the British rock band Queen. He was born in Stone Town, Zanzíbar, in 1946; and he died in London, UK, in 1991.

On November 24th of 1991, Freddie Mercury died of bronchopneumonia complicated by AIDS. He died one day after he admitted officially that he suffered of AIDS. He was forty-five years old.Nowadays, he is considered as one of the greatest singers of the popular music.
