Francis Bacon

Francis Bacon was the son of Nicolas Bacon, the Lord keeper of the seal of Elizabeth I. Francis Bacon was often called the father of modern science.He was also a famous English essayist, lawyer, philosopher, and a stateman who had a major influence on the philosophy of science.


1561 January 22, born in London to Sir Nicolas Bacon1573 April, enters Trinity college, Cambridge1597 Publishes his Essays1613 becomes attorney general1626 died on April 9.

He has been called the prophet of the scientific revolution. At the age of 12, he went to study at Trinty College, Cumbridge. Later acquired an education in law.After his studies, he tried to start a political career. Although he didn't get along with Queen Elizabeth, under James, he rose to the highest political office Lord chancellor.

Francis Bacon was an English Philosophy and a scientist who made important contributions to the development of the scientific method and the establishing of a scientific worldview.
