Dance in the 1920's

Dancing in different performances was the most popular entertainment for people in the 1920's

Dances of the 1920's were fast paced and eneretic. Some popular dances were the Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Charleston, Square Dnces, and Camel Walks. I'm sure that many of you have heard of some of these.

You would see people dancing pretty much anywhere in the 1920's. There were always parties, dance marathons, classes, and night clubs that you could go to when you wanted to have a good time.

The new dances were alot more popular with the youth.

I think that dancing made the 1920's roar because it created entertainment and distractions for everyone. It seemd to make people happy. The people of the 1920's developed the types of dances we have today by creating the first simple steps. The moves and beats from "The Dance Craze" have given us our way of dancing today.
