Does extra light from the sides effectThe image in a pinhole camera?

We decided to do this experiment because we thought we would get some intresting results. But when we actually did the experiment we got some really confusing results...

Does extra light from the sides effect the image in a pinhole camera?

In the first image you can see a basic pinhole camera. In the next image you see the hole behind the screen that didn't effect the image. However in the third image the points that are circled in red, were the light collides, make the image blurry. The other intresting thing about the Image was that when before we had had a greyscale image (because the pinhole camera wasn't that good)the image was now in colour! we don't know why but our best guess is: your eye needs more light to see colour so we think that that hole may have provided the extra light we need to see colour.

Prediction.

Fin's prediction was that both of the holes in the side would ruin the image because a pinhole camera works because the only light coming in is through the pinhole. Daniel's prediction was that the image would become brighter because of the extra light. Chul-woo's prediction was that the image wouldn't work And Sammy's prediction was that the image wouldn't be there if the hole was in the front of the screen and if it was behind the image wouldn't change.

First of all, we made a pinhole camera. Then, we cut a hole behind the screen to see if that affected the image. Next, we put some blue-tack over the hole to cover it up. Finally, we cut another hole in front of the screen and looked through it. In the end we discovered some interesting results.
