Glog text
Where the Sidewalk Ends
There is a place where the sidewalk ends
Before the street begins,
And there the grass grows soft and white,
And there the sun burns crimson bright,
And there the moon-bird rests from his flight
To cool in a peppermint wind.
Let us leave this place where the smoke blows black
And the dark street winds and bends.
Past the pits where the asphalt flowers grow
We shall walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And watch where the chalk-white arrows go
To the place where the sidewalk ends.
Yes we’ll walk with a walk that is measured and slow,
And we’ll go where the chalk-white arrows go,
Where the children, they mark, and the children, they know
The place where the sidewalk ends.
My Poetry Glog
Erick
One of my favorite songs!
The Way I Am (Cinquain)
My
Eyes are
Sparkling like the
Sky while my muscles
Flex
The Mood of Me
(Free-Verse)
Dark as the night sky
Dark as Morgan's thoughts
Dark as iced road
And dark is my mood
Erick
(Epitaph)
Erick. A human with a mustache, a human who has a mind that carries the burdan of his two sisters, a human with a brain that has the capbility to run the Internet. He will be remembered as an amazing man with an amazing personality and state of mind.
Ants and Men
(Haiku)
Scurry to and fro
Searching searching food to grow
one, the same alike
Living Nature
(Haiku)
Green and brown and badge
Nature showing us its here
Saying, please dont hurt
Do you ever feel like a plastic bag
Drifting through the wind
Wanting to start again
Do you ever feel, feel so paper thin
Like a house of cards
One blow from caving in
Do you ever feel already buried deep
Six feet under scream
But no one seems to hear a thing
Do you know that there's still a chance for you
Cause there's a spark in you
You just gotta ignite the light
And let it shine
Just own the night
Like the Fourth of July
Cause baby you're a firework
Come on show 'em what you're worth
Make 'em go "Oh, oh, oh!"
As you shoot across the sky-y-y
The Mood of Me

I really like your mood poem. Very nice.
Let's work on the format of your epitaph. Ideas are fine...just the word placement so that your reader can see and feel the flow...the aesthetics and pleasantries of the verse.
