It is where cancer cells are found in the lining of the fallopian tubes. Fallopian tubes are the ducts which connects with the ovaries (where eggs are produced) to the uterus (womb)

What is it?

-Genetic Mutation: mutation in the BRCA1 gene, which is linked to breast and ovarian cancer, may also increase the risk of developing this cancer-Age: occurs mostly in the post menopausal women in their 50's and 60's. However fallopian tube cancer can begin in women as early as 40-Family History: A family history of fallopian tube cancer can increase a womans risk of developing thid cancer

.No proven way to completly prevent thid disease, but there are steps you can take to lower your cancer riskOperation will sigificantly reduce, but not elimate



-Irregular or heavy vaginal bleeding (especially after menopause)-Occasional abdominal or pelvic pain or feeling of pressure-Vaginal discharge may be clear,white, or tinged with blood-Pelvic mass or lump as tumor in fallopian tube grows, it can push against the walls of the tube and cause abdominal pain
