Fair Trade Gold

Gold must first be extracted from the ground. After a gold-bearing deposit has been located,the gold is extracted by mining. After the rock that has the gold in it has been mined, it is crushed into grains or the size of sand. Gold is then extracted from the rock by a multi staged process. (Watch the video to learn more)

Gold is a chemical element with the symbol "Au" and its atomic number is 79. When gold is in its purest form it is a little reddish yellow, dense, soft, malleable and ductile metal. Chemically, gold is a transition metal and a group 11 element.
