Eutrophication~Kelly Cargill

Eutrophication is the effects on an ecosystm from human activities that fertilize bodies of water with nitrogen and phosphorous

Nitrogen and phosphorous change plant and animal population around the water and cause degradation of water and quality of the habitat

Eutrophication~Earth Science 9

Steams carry the extra nuetrients into the oceans, lakes and rivers by run off.

Phosphorous is produced more in fresh water and nitrogen is produced more in salt water.

These extra nutrients promot plant groth and decay mainly with algea and plinkton. The plants use all the oxygen and cause other water dwelling species to die.
