The history of the Eucharist was in the Last supper of Jesus with his disciples, when he had to have taken bread and given it to his disciples, telling them to eat of it, because it was his body, and to have taken a cup and given it to his disciples, telling them to drink of it because it was the cup of the bond in his blood.The earliest time recorded for the thanksgiving was in the First Epistle to the Corithians, which was around AD 55, it relates because Paul the Apostle was 'Eating the bread and drinking the wine from the cup of the Lord, in celebration fro the Supper of the Lord.
The History of the Eucharist
Eucharist is celebrated every sunday at mass and at other services. During the Eucharist you give thanks to Christ whom died on the cross. To show recognition to Jesus we accept the gift from the blood and body of Christ
-During the Eucharist the priests repeats Jesus's words.Believers take part in the Eucharist to give thanks to God, and share the meal as a whole community.-In community believers gain strength from each one who has gathered for the Eucharist.
Elements of the Eucharist celbration:-Bread This is the body of Christ, in which Jesus gave to his disciples to eat. -WineThe wine symbolises Jesus's blood, in which he also gave to his disciples to drink.-ChaliseThe purpose of the chalise is to serve the blood of Christ at Mass. It's also used for the water and wine before conseration or after-Repartation of Jesus actions
The Eucharist as a Sacrament-The is an sacrament of intiation, once completing the sacrament you feel like you belong-The sacrament is called 'Eucharist' because it's an action for the thanksgiving of God-From all that eat the one broken bread, will enter the communion with Christ as one
Christ's teachingsThe bread and wine represent the body and blood of Christ. This teaches Christians that Jsus gave up his life for us because he loves us.Through the Eucharist we lmpw about the passover and seder meals and the last supper. We understand what they involved and their relevance to Christians today

They can be grateful for what Jesus gave up for them when he died on the cross.Christians can gain spiritual strength for the journey of life and be nourished in the Christian faith and the word of God through Jesus
Transubstantiation-This is the change, where the bread and the wine used in the sacrament of the Eucharist become, a sign or a figure, but also in actual reality the body and blood of Christ, but their apperance looks the same
