Eros and Psyche
There once was a young girl named Psyche, who was the youngest daughter of a king. She was so beautiful that even Aphordite, the goddess of love and beauty was jealous.
Eros accidentally shot himself on the foot and fell in love with Psyche.
Aphrodite was furious at Eros for failing the task so she placed a curse on Psyche where no suiters would come near her. Eros refused to do his job until Aphrodite lifted the spell.
Aphrodite called her son Eros, god of love, to shoot Psyche with his love arrows while she was asleep so that when she wakes up, she'd fall in love with an ugly man.
Without love, the world didn't run. Everything grew grim and finally, Aphrodite gave in to Eros's wants.
One night when Eros came home, Psyche's curiosity got the best of her and she came into his bedroom to check if he was handsome or not.
Eros became furiated at Psyche's curiosity and flew away, taking all the riches and the castle with him, leaving Psyche all alone with guilt. Eventually, Eros forgave Psyche's poor faith and they both worked together to prevent love failures.
Psyche got married to Eros and he worked in the day and came back at night. However, Psyche never got to see him. Her sisters came over and warned her that she might be marrying a monster that is going to eat her.
I chose this story since it gave a nice plot about how love works and that love is blind.
