Eric Carle

Eric Carle

Eric Carle was born in Syracuse, New York. His family moved to Germany when he was six and he finished his schooling there at Akademie der bildended Kunste, a prestigious art school. After that he decided to move back to the United States and got a job at the New York Times as a graphic designer. While working there he was approached by Bill Martin Jr. to illistrate Brown Bear, Brown Bear What do you see? which kickstarted his career in childrens books.
