Enviromental Protection Laws
Clean Air Act (CAA)- regulates air emissions from stationary and mobile sources. This law also authorizes the National Ambient Air quality standards to protect public health and to regulate emissions of hazardous air pollutants.
Clean Water Act (CWA)- regulates basic structure for regulating discharges of pollutants into the America's water.
Oil Pollution Act (OPA)- made to prevent and respond to catastrophic oil spills. The OPA requires oil storage facilities and vessels to submit to the Federal government plans detailing how they will respond to large discharges.
