ImplicationsEducators play a critical role in ensuring todays children are safe and able to live without fear of abuse and mistreatment. Educators spend a considerable amount of time with students, and they need tobe vigil in looking for children displaying the various listed behaviors, as they may be suffering emotional flux. The main rule is, trust your gut, and if you suspect something, use the school counselors and administration to address your observations.Children are not mentally equipped to handle emotional distress and abuse, and will act out of fear, and frustrations, and for attention. One of th main things Educators can do is to come down to the students level and create relaionships with the students, as that bulds trust and a connection that the child can feel safe, and that someone neutral in their life has their back. Wthout a relationship and trust, a child is not going to share the dark and sad parts of their life with an Educator, so be proactive, and get to know your students.
