Totem Pole Park

Totem Pole ParkBy: Emma Jane Plunkett and Sara GrahamTotem Pole Park is on the original rout 66 in Foyil, OK. It is located on old route 66 about 43 miles from Tulsa. It has the largest totem pole in the world. It was built and owned by a man named Ed Galloway. The large totem pole was made with twenty-eight tons of cement, six tons of steel and one hundred tons of rocks and sand. It is still an important place to American Indian tribes. When I-44 opened a lot of people forgot about the totem poles but they have been re built and they are now a main attraction again on Route 66.
