Elizabeth Seton

-Elizabeth Seton had a deep devotion tot the Eucharist, Sacred Scripture, & the Virgin Mary.-She was a woman of prayer & service, who embraced the spirituality of Louise de Marillac & Vincent de Paul.

Legacy

-Established the St. Jospeh's Academy & Free School-Established religious community in Emmitsburg that was dedicated to the care of children of the poor-Died of Tuberculosis in 1821, at age 46.

Later Life

-Born on August 28, 1774 in New York City -Mother died when she was 3 years old-Her father insisted she was educated further than other girls-Married William Seton, & had 5 children-Husband died on December 27, 1803
