Compounds
Elements are made of only one atom. It cant be broken down more, therefore, it is the simplesed form. They are found in the periodic table.Examples: Calcium (Ca), Sodium (Na), Oxigen (O), Carbon (C), Hydrogen (H).
A mixture is more than two elements combined but not chemically. They can be seperated either by phisical or mechanical means. In a mixture each of the matter has it own properties.Examples: Milk, salad, lemonade, dressing, soil.Phisical means: Magnet, decantation, filtration, sublimation, distillation.
A compound are two or more elements that are chemically combined. It has allways, with no exeption, the same ratio.Examples:Alcohol (C2H5OH), salt (NaCl), water (H2O), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), baking soda (NaHCO3).
