This is the original blueprint of the Eiffel Tower made by Maurice Koechlin

The Eiffel Tower, named after the owner of the company that created the tower, Gustave Eiffel, lies in the border of the Seine River in Paris.

Liberty, Equality and Fraternity

The Eiffel Tower is 324 meters high.

It was built for the 1899 World Fair where it served as the entrance to the fair.

This is one of the most famous pictures of the Axis occupation of France during World War II. It was taken during Hitler´s tour of the city.

Alexander Gustave Eiffel was the architect of the tower. He is also famous for designing the framework of the Statue of Liberty.

The Eiffel Tower was going to be relocated during the 1967 International and Universal Exposition, but the move never happended.

The main engineers were Maurice Koechlin and Emile Nourguier. They were congratulated by Thomas Edison himself.

Stephen Sauvestre was also one of the main Architechts. Jean Compagnon was in charge of construction.

It held the world record for the highest building in the world from 1899 to 1930.

The building of the Eiffel Tower is related to Algebra as calculations were needed in order to keep the tower straight.
