Geography: The Nile river made it possible to live in the desert. It flooded regularly so it was easy to farm and you knew what to expect.Rulers: Pharaohs ruled Egypt. They were considered gods and were thought to rule even after death.Economics: They grew wheat and barley in the siltthe Nile created after flooding.

Society: The Egyptian were polytheistic. They bult temples to honor them and they believed in an afterlife. Royal bodies were preserved by mummification. The classes weren't set in stone and you could gain rank if you tried.

Writing: They used hieroglyphics to write. They invented a writing surface called papyrus.
