Effects of Evaporation

Humidity Humidity is the amount of water vapour present in air the air around us cannot hold more than a definite amount of water vapour at a given temperature if the amount of water in air is already high the rate of evaporation decreases.

A decrease in humidity An increase of surface area An increase of temperatureAn increase in windspeed

Effects of Evaporation

4 Main factors affecting Evaporation

Evaporation is the process by which water is converted from its liquid form to its vapor form and thus transferred from land and water masses to the atmosphere.

Increase of TemperatureIncrease in Temperature results in increase in the heat in the atomosphere & with the increase of temperature more number of particles get enough kinetic energy to transform into the vapour state.

Increase of Surafce AreaIncrease in surface area increases the rate of evaporation increases .for eg :- while putting clothes for drying up we spread them out

Increase in wind speedWith the increase in wind speed the particles of water vapour move away with the wind decreasing the amount of water vapour in the surrounding
