On April 4, 1730 in Attleboro, Pennslyvania, United States, Edward Hicks was born. American folk painter Hicks known for his naive depictions of farms and landscapes in his homeland. Also his well known piece of art called "The Peacable Kingdom."This peice of art represents Hick's beliefs as a (Quaker) that Pennsylvania was the fulfillment of Isaiah’s prophecy of justice and gentleness between all men and beast (vicious animals they say) On August 23, 1849 in Newton, Pennslyvania, United States passes away but still today many people know him and what he's made.

Edward Hicks, folk painter & distinguished minister of the Society of Friends. He became a Quaker icon because of his paintings.
