In Poe's life Poe wanted love and acceptance from his father and his (adopted)father but was never fully loved and he was treated unfairly. He had the eye of a vulture-- a pale blue eye with a film over it.""Annabel Lee" is about a narrator who has a deep passion for his love, Annabel Lee , it also has to do with Annabel Lee dying and the narrator talks about their good times together. In Poe's life His wife Virginia dies and Poe is just devastated. A quote from "Annabel Lee" that relates the picture and the story is "The angels, not as half happy in Heaven, went envying her and me..."
