Edgar Allan Poe

Edgar Allen Poe was born on January 19, 1809, in Boston, Massachusetts. He died on October 7, 1849. His mother died at 24, and he was abandoned by his father. The same thing happened with his step parents. He married his 13 year old cousin in 1836, when he was 27. His wife also died at age 24, from tuberculosis, the same disease that took away his mother. He suffered from poverty the majority of his life. He didnt have even 1/3 of the money needed to pay for college, so he was forced to leave. He had to burn his furniture, just to keep warm.
