Roles of a Teacher

1. The teaching is a "hands-off" approach; therefore, the teacher acts as a facilitator.

3. Teaches are education providers.

2. Teachers are role models.

4. Instructs, supervises and facilitates students' learning.

6. A teacher is also an assessor who observes the students practice and provides a detailed performance assessment.

7. Teachers develop IEP's and make appropriate accomodations in line with the goals.

8. Teachers are planners. They plan what to teach according to the curriculum.

10. A teacher is a friend to the student.

9. Teachers create materials for students.

5. A teacher establishes a professional and a welcoming environment for the students.
