Edagr Allan Poe

Edgar Allan Poe was most famous for his poem, "The Raven". He also wrote stories about revenge, the plague, and insanity. Edgar's stories are mostly about mysteries.

Edgar Poe was born in Boston on January 19, 1809. When Poe was two years old, his mother died. His father had already abandoned him when Mr. and Mrs. Allan adopted Edgar. When Edgar was 27 years old, he married his 13 year old cousin. His wife died in 1847. Edgar died at the age of forty in 1849.
