Brofenbrenners theory shows there are various influences on a child's development. Check out the video below to see how his theory is being applied today.
The Mesosystem refers to the interactions between the microsystems- a parent who socializes with their child's peers, for instance, may encourage that child to become more friendly and open to initiating social situations
The micro system refers to the environments created by the people and places that have a direct effect on a child such as homes, parents, peers, immediate family members, neighbors, parks, church.

Theory
Chronosystem refers to the enivironmental influences overtime, and their effects on development . It combines the experiencs from the other systems- believed to have shaped the person overall.
Moving Forward
Mesosystem
Urie Brofenbrenner 1917-2005, was an early childhood theorist who helped to develop Head Start, and developed the five Ecological Systems Theory- the systems that effect child development now and over time in that individual
Microsystem
The macosystem is the culture, customs, and the general core values of society in which one lives. The broader culture like democracy, or current fashion, and other things socially acceptable.
Macrosystem
The Exosystem is the events with which children have no direct interaction, but by which they are effected. A parents job promotion, or job relocation are examples of events that occur that influence a child without the child's direct interaction.
