My Dimetredon died of old age, and all of its grandchildren couldn't be bothered to sit with it while it creaked and wheezed, a decrepit remainder of what it once was, and it quickly became coated in sediments from the swamps it lived in.

Dimetredons inhabited swamps and moist, warmer areas in North America and Europe, especially Texas and Oklahoma.

Living Environment

Where the Permian period is on the Geologic Timeline.

Slowy, the Dimetredon became compacted and had pressure applied on its bones. Water flowed through the bones, dissolving them, and minerals replaced the organic material, filling the mold. Many, many year later, a guy with a fancy British accent found its bones. It now resides in a posh British Museum.

The Dimetredon is one of the earliest endothermic animals. It got around on four short, thick legs. The Demetredon was a carnivore and had very few predators. Because of its two rows of very powerful teeth, it could have eaten almost anything.

It had a large sail on its back, thought to be for both heat regulation and camoflauge amoungst the bamboo-like calamite plants. The Dimetredon was around 10-11 feet long and 200-300 pounds.

Everyday Life

The Dimetredon, living by swamps, would, at the time of its mass extinction towards the end of the Permian Period, most likely have been fossilized through the compaction and cementation of sediments.
