A natural disaster is a major event caused by nature causing damage such as loss of lives, property, economic and environmental damage.A natural disaster can be things such as tsunamis, cycolones, landslides and droughts, natural disasters cause long and short term damage.
A drought is a period of time with no rain and dry weather, it causes alot of destruction to farmers with crops and stock. They can go on for years and years causing death and econmic damage.

Drought are one of the top three threats to the worlds population.
Farmers suffer alot from droughts!

A long drought in Australia started in 2003 and didn't get any rain 2006. Where there was only a light shower and from them it didnt rain to 2007.
In the whole world Africa is thecountry most likely to have droughts.
