MLK was born on January 15, 1929 in Atlanta, GA. He was a Baptist Minister.The Montgomery Bus Boycott was MLK's 1st civil rights movement.In 1963, MLK led over 250, 000 people on the "March on Washington" where he delivered his famous "I Have A Dream" speech.He was the youngest person to be awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.Killed April 4, 1968 in Memphis, TN.Martin Luther King Jr. Day was not observed by all 50 states until 2000. The last states to join were Arizona in 1992, New Hampshire in 1999, and Utah in 2000. The holiday was originally signed into law by President Ronald Reagan in 1983. The first MLK day being January 20, 1986.
