Dominican Republic Music

The Dominican Republic is in the Carribean; part of an island shared by Haiti called Hispanola. People sometimes used a Dominican drum called a tambora. They also sometimes used a guira, a Dominican percussion instrument, or a marimbula, a Carribean plucking instrument. About 10.4 million people live in the Dominican Republic. Music in the Dominican Republic is important in the lives of people because they earn money by playing music for tourists.
