-nervousness -high blood pressure -insomnia -hyperactivity -fatigue -dizziness -heart arrhythmias and palpitations -headaches -dry mouth -heart attack -blurred vision -urinary tract infection -hairloss -tighness/sharp pains in chest -unhealthy bowel movement the list goes on and on. And most seriously: the overdose or daily intake of diet pills can kill you.

Diet pills are a huge industry in the U.S. and continue to be one of the most popular methods for quick weight loss. Diet pills come in 2 basic types: Presciptions-which are usually given to obese patients with the BMI of over 27. Over-the-counter-which are called ''Dietary Supplements''-which can be purchased without prescriptions. Other diet pill forms include: Appetite Supplements, Caffeine pills, and Herbal supplements.

People who have anorexia are obsessed with being thin. They don't want to eat, and they are afraid of gaining weight. They may constantly worry about how many calories they take in or how much fat is in their food. They may take diet pills, laxatives or water pills to lose weight. They may exercise too much. People who have anorexia usually think they're fat even though they're very thin. They may get so thin that they look like they're sick.

Diet Pills : are they worth the risk?

Most prescription diet pills suppress the appetite, which causes you to consume fewer calories. On the surface, this seems like the ultimate solution for losing weight. However, as you reduce your caloric intake, your metabolism also slows down. As your metabolism slows, the amount of weight you lose also slows down.
