The Day of the Dead was created a long time ago. Some people think it was over 3,000 years ago, but no one is for sure. The Aztecs had a big influence on creating this holiday.

Beginning

Games and Recreation are a big part of Day of the Dead. People go trick-or-treating on October 31st to kick off the celebration. They also create sugar skulls for fun and place them on altars.

Sugar Skulls are a big tradition throughout the holiday of Day of the Dead. They are a skull made out of dough or powder. People decorate these skulls for fun and use them as decoration.
