mexican families remember the dead and the continuation of life on this day the celebration originated from the aztec empire and use to be dedicated to the dead and the children

the families first visit the graves of family members and decorate the graves with flowers and then they have a picnic at the cementery and socilize with other families and eat many spicy meat dishes . followed by desert that are shaped like skulls

who celbrates it and is it simllar to our celebrations ?

this celebration is meant for all mexicans .it is not simllar to any holiday we celbrate because we do not decorate the cementery with flowers . i feel it is diffrent because we do not celbrate the dead in a festive feeling
