Dawesfield
Dawesfield was bought in 1731 from William Penn.
George Washington marched up and down Dawesfield.
General Washington slept in the Dawesfield beds during the Encampment from October 21, 1777 to December 2, 1777.
The name Dawesfield comes from the first owners of the land, Abraham Dawes.
Today Dawesfield is a private house.
