Who:The Triple Alliance
What:More than 175,000 allied troops stormed the beaches in Higgins LCUP boats who carried 36 troops at a time. They raid the western French Coast and they succeed agasint the Germans.
D-Day was the allied invasion of western Europe which was the largest amphibious assult in history. The allies were trying to gain back control of France and they choose to do this raid to gain control of the western coast of France.
