The Cuban Missile Crisis
On the morning October 16th 1962 National Security Advisor McGeorge Bundy told President John F. Kennedy that U.S. surveillance aircraft had discovered the presence of Soviet missiles in Cuba, just 90 miles away American soil.
President Kennedy addresses the nation about the Cuban Missile Crisis on October 22, 1962.
*On October 22, 1962, Kennedy informed the nation of the naval blockade around Cuba.*The cuban missile strike lasted 13 days.*
In october 1962 ,an American U-2 spy plane secretly photographed nuclear missile sites being built by the Soviet Union on the island of Cuba.
