Friends and family called him Jacksie and Jack for most of his life.3) He served in the WWI British Army 4) His novel The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe took 10 years to write.5) The book The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was inspired by three girls who lived with Lewis during WW2.
