What would happen if I used chocolate instead of vanilla? Would it taste sweeter or not as sweet?

Hypothesis

I think replacing vanilla with chocolate syrup will make it taste like chocolate ice cream.

Question

Experiment

Replace 1/4 tsp. vanilla with 1/4 tsp. chocolate syrup. Follow the rest of the recipe instructions as before.

Results

It didn't taste like chocolate, but it tasted sweeter than vanilla. This is because the chocolate syrup flavor wasn't as strong as the vanilla flavor. To get it to taste more chocolaty I would use more chocolate syrup.
