Costia Concordia
MS Costa Concordia was a Concordia-class cruise ship owned and operated by Costa Crociere. It was built at Fincantieri's Sestri Ponente yards in Italy. The name Concordia was intended to express the wish for ''continuing harmony, unity, and peace between European nationis''.

The Costia Concordia disaster happened when the Italian cruise ship Costia Concordia hit a reef and partially sank on 13 january 2012 off the Italian costa. The vessel ran aground at Isola del Gigilo, Tuscany, resulying in the evacuation of 4,212 people on board. On January 5th at least five people including four passengers and a crew member died, 15 were still
On 13 Januar 2012, Costia Concordia ran aground on a reef at around 21:30 local tima off Isola del Giglio, having left Civitavecchia earlier that evening at the beginning of a sevenday cruise sailing to Savona and then visiting Marseille, Barcelona, Palma, Tunis, and Palerom. According to the local coastguard, 3,206 passengers and 1,023 crew members were on board at the time.
