In Costa Rica, ox carts were an important aspect of the daily life, especially between 1850 to 1935, developing a unique construction and decoration tradition that is still being developed.


The most common dish for breakfast is Gallo Pinto which consists of rice mixed with black beans, served with sour cream, scrambled eggs and fried plantain. Costa Ricans usually drink a cup of coffee or fresh fruit juice with it.

Although Costa Rica is a small country, it has a huge number of species for its area. 894 bird species have been recorded in the country more than in all of the United States and Canada combined.

Poás Volcano National Park is a National Park in Costa Rica that covers an area of approximately 16,000 acres. One of the attractive features about Poás is that you can get all the way to the edge of the crater and it’s one of the country's main tourist attractions.


The stones are believed to have been carved between 200 BC and 1500 AD. The spheres range in size weighs up to 15 tons. One of the myths was some local legends state that the native inhabitants had access to a potion able to soften the rock.
