Corn Earworn

Life Cycle: Complete. Lay eggs that hatch into 2-8 days. First generation larvae feed on whorls. Second flight emerge about the time of silk emergence. Eggs are deposited on silks, hatch, larvae feed on silks and then bore into the developing ear. Mature larvae eat the husks, crawl down the stalk, enter the soil and pupate.
