Iditarod and Junior Iditarod Assessments

Dog Care AssessmentDog care assessment includes: having a good attitude and interaction with the dogs. You also need good control of the dogs. For the dogs' saftey, you need to be in contact with a race veteranarian. You need to rest the dogs, care for their feet, good care for females, and you need to feed them.

Rainy PassRainy Pass is the highest checkpoint in the Iditarod. Dalzell Gorge follows up Rainy Pass as the steepest drop on the Iditarod trail. This easily makes rainy pass the most treachorus checkpoint on the Iditarod trail. For Aliy Zirkle's 2014 Rainy Pass experiences, click here.
