Stonewall Jackson Stonewall Jackson was born in Clarksburg Virginia (Now West Virginia) on the year of 1824. His full name was Thomas Jonathan Jackson. Stonewall was the second most respected and admired general after Robert E. Lee in the confederate army. After Stone wall graduated from West Point he then went to serve for the American army in the Mexiccan and American War. Stone wall later would resign from the army and would work as a professor at the Virginia Military institute. When the war began Stone wall was a working man working for the army at Harpers Ferry training troops for the war. Thomas earned his nick name from the first battle of Manassas in 1861. To rally the troops Confederate General Barnard Bee is said to say while pointing at Jackson and saying "There is Jackson standing like a stone wall Rally behind the Virginian!" That year in the fall Stone wall was named Major General. He is known as a legendary figure in the south. During the Winter Jackson was in a campaign with General william Loring. Jackson wanted to resign but was talked out of it to later defend Richmond with General Robert E. Lee. Jackson commanded his troops at the second Battle of Manassas winning and then again at the battle of Sharpsburg in Maryland in September of 1862. The best fight Jackson took part in was his last in Chancellorsville, Virginia on May 2, 1824.That night Jackson went out to scout when his soldier mistook him for an enemy and shot his left arm. His arm would then be amputated later that night. From the wound Stonewall extracted pneumonia and then died on May 10, 1863.

Jeb Stuart Jeb stuart was born in Patrick Country, Virginia in the Year of 1833. His full name was John Ewell Stuart, but his friends knew him as Jeb.He was the General who distinguished himself at the First Manassas battle. He graduated from Wesst point in 1854 he participated in the reclaiming of Harpers Ferry Virginia on the day of John Brown's raid. Jeb then also worked in Texas and Kansas in the US army. He was a calavary commander for the Peninsula campaign and the Maryland army. Jeb navigated the Potomac army getting alot of fame to himself and shaming the North. Jeb's most famous campaign was in Gettysburg. In the battle Jeb was baffled with a bombing attack in th Battle of Brandys station. Jeb was critized for the movement which would not help the army they had recently seperated from General Lee's army was pretty much left out to dry at the battle of Gettysburg. Jeb Stuart would then die May 12, 1864 in Richmond Virginia and would then be buried in Hollywood Cemetery.

General Longstreet General James Longstreet was born in Edgefield District, South Carolina in 1821. He commandedtroops in the battle Second battle of Manassas, Antietam, Gettysburg, and Chickamauga. General Longstreet is often Blameed for the delay at the battle of Gettysburg. He surendered with Robet E. Lee at Appomattox. General Lomg street would be a very helpful sobordinate to Robert E. Lee with his army. He reallly proved himself in the Second Battle of Manassas he help in the Seven days of battle. General Longstreet then decided to join General Lee in the battle of Sharpsburg and Fredericksburg. In the Year of 1863 in June Longstreet offered up a battle plan to defend the important port of Vicksburg and Mississippi river. At the battle of Gettysburg General Longstreet was considered to cost General Robert E. Lee a victory. The reasonn why is because Longstreet was said to take caution or delay in an offensive attack. The resentment to attack the Union was the cause of almost 28,000 casualties for the Confederacy. After the Loss of Gettysburg the Confederate officals gave the General Longstreet a warning to reinforce the West. The only thing was that they could not recapture Vicksburg already taken by the Northern General and future President Ulysses S. Grant.

Robert E. Lee Robert E Lee was born on January 19, 1807 in Strattford Virginia. Lee was the most respected General in the south and was a top graduate from the US Military School. When the state of Virginia seceded from thw Union Lee followed his state while turning down offers for a Commander of the Union. Lee was a veteran in the American Mexican war.He served 32 years in the US army also defending Harpers Ferry from John Browns raid. He served as a senior Military advisor. Lee won all his battles against much bigger and better armies from the north. The tide would turn at one of Lee's batlles in Gettysburg he would lose to the fact of Jeb Stuart getting attack at the Battle of Brandys station. Then Lee would be the president of Washington University. The college would then later be called Washington and Lee located in Lexington Virginia.
