A concave mirror resembles half of a sphere. So therefore a line going through the center (center of curvature) of the sphere and attaching to the center of the mirror would be a principal axis.

Between the center of curvature and the vertex is the point of focal point and the distance from the vertex to the curvature is the radius of curvature. The distance from the mirror to focal point is focal length.
