Future quatum computers,which work by manipulating atoms and molecules,will be millions of times faster than anything avalible today. Another intersting fact is that over 220 million tons of old computers and other technological hardware are trashed in the US a year.

Annual Salary-On average a computer engineer will make 103,980 a year.In the future-In the future we will need computer engineering.Working Conditions-Computer hardware engineers usually work in research laboratories that build and test variuos types of computer models. Most work in high-tech manufacturing firms.

Responsibilities-Computer engineers work with all aspects of computing:operating systems,networks,software and hardware. A computer engineer might work on a project that they find fascinating or one that they have a personal connection to. For example, a computer engineer who suffered a loss in the family due to illness might invest energy on developing medical devices to treat that illness.Education-Generally, a bachelor's degree is the minimum education required of a computer engineer. Most employers require students to hold a bacherlor's degree in computer science,computer programing,computer engineering,computer info systems,eletrical engineering or a similar computer field.
